Weight Loss Advice
These days everybody has some weight loss advice to give you.
Every health food company out there is pushing their own latest craze in an attempt to get their share of the "Cash Cow" that we call the weight loss industry.
Books are written; programs are launched; fad diets; appetite suppressants; fat blockers; etc. Where will the madness end?
I'll bet even you have been caught up in the frenzy.
Many Diets Introduced
Over the years there have been many attempts at designing the perfect diet.
Unfortunately, they have all been designed on a "Flawed Premise". I will explain this shortly but first lets take a look at them.

Low Fat Diets
– An obvious target and the big mistake of the 90’s

High Protein Diets
– A logical progression from Low Fat but can be dangerous,
- Carbohydrate Controls you don’t need
- Combination Plans – that don’t make sense & can cause more harm than good,
- Diet programs that control you
- Potpourri Plans – Countless fad diets that come & go
- Diet Pills that make you sick – Cause more problems than they solve, and
- Meal Replacements – A good idea if you can stick to them
Since you're still here, I'm going to assume you have probably tried some of these failures. In fact, I think I saw you nodding your head a couple times. ;-)
| note: Before we continue I think it important that we use the same meaning for the word diet. On this page, whenever I refer to a diet I mean a Program that includes depriving your body of a food or food group. |

Why Have They all Failed?
You may argue that you have seen and heard lots of success stories and my statement is wrong, but let me ask you this ....
.... If diets work why do we still have a problem?
Sure some diets do work for some people sometimes. You need to understand that our bodies are unique. When it comes to dieting, no one formula will work for everyone.
If anyone gives you weight loss advice you need to remember that even though it worked for them, it may not work for you.
For some of us, cutting down on a particular food or food group will have positive affects .... at least in the short run. All too often though, there is a price to pay.
The problem is there are so many factors that may contribute to your weight gain that it is almost impossible to identify what your body needs or does not need in order to return to its proper size.
Consider This
The simple fact is your body "Knows" what to do and "Wants" to operate at its peak so if that is not its current state something has interfered.
If you want to be successful at weight loss then the best course of action is to provide the cells of your body with all the nutrients they require to operate at their optimum.
You must FEED YOUR CELLS not STARVE YOUR CELLS!
Instead of Withholding Food or trying to Trick your Body into Loosing Weight, Lets give it the Nutrition it Needs to Perform the Way it was Designed!
Once your body has the tools it needs it will naturally begin to correct whatever issue is causing your present health and weight issues.
- There is no need to "guess" what is wrong.
- There is no need to "experiment" with different diets.
- There is no need to "trick" your body into thinking it isn't hungry.
- There is no need to "starve" yourself.
If I were only to give you one piece of weight loss advice it would be this.
Feed Your Cells
Simply provide the cells of your body with the nutrients they need and stand back. Let your body do the work it was designed to do. It "knows" what needs to be done better than you or any scientist could possibly know.
Of course, part of this approach is to avoid some obvious problem foods (why is
Sugar not so Sweet
), consume nutrients that your cells need, be aware of your own
Body Mass Index
, follow a few
Easy Weight Loss Tips
and get some exercise.
We will discuss this further but first let's look at the problems various diet approaches of the past have encountered.
