Polyphenols
Polyphenols contain a group of “super antioxidants” found in the foods you eat and are believed to have substantial health benefits. They act as antioxidants protecting the cells of your body against damage caused by
free radicals.
At this point in time there are a lot of un-answered questions, however in most of the medical community the debate appears to be to what degree they will benefit us, not whether or not they have an effect.
In fact, current research on their antioxidant properties and the effect they have on human health strongly support their use in the prevention of degenerative diseases, especially cardiovascular diseases, cancers and osteoporosis.
Of course, as with anything else in the nutrition world, you need to make sure all
the required cofactors are present
or your body will not recognize the nutrient and you are just wasting your money.
