Medical Myths

I believe vaccinations are one of the best examples of medical myths there is.
I’ve only been immunized once in my life and I was too young to have any say in the matter. Since then I’ve lived with a “healthy” distrust of vaccinations.
Everybody who knows anything knows with out a doubt that Vaccines are Medicines Greatest Success Story!
But are they?
I have now read a lot about vaccines and their supposed success.
1. They say "Diseases Have Been Eliminated by Vaccines."
The truth is, since the plagues of the past we have seen improved sanitation and hygiene, better housing, better nutrition and better isolation procedures. These are the true heroes.
2. They say "Diseases Included in Vaccinations are Deadly."
The fact is a large number of illnesses we routinely vaccinate against are no longer life threatening in well nourished healthy children. You may be surprised to learn that many of these diseases are now referred to as “nuisance diseases”.
3. They say "Vaccines will Protect You Against Diseases."
This myth is based on the assumption that vaccines actually work. I am sure everybody either knows or has heard of someone that got the disease even though they took the vaccine. Many people have actually got the disease BECAUSE OF the vaccine. And some have had very bad if not fatal reactions to vaccines.
Today there are more incidences of outbreaks of Polio among immunized populations than in the un-immunized.
4. They say "Vaccine Side-Affects are Rare and Mild."
There is no such thing as a safe vaccine any more than there is such a thing as a safe drug.
The Center for Disease Control (CDC) knows this and has acknowledged as much publicly (although in very low key announcements to a select few scientists) in a small seminar in Sept 1994 after monitoring 500,000 American children.
They found 34 major side effects including blood disorders, diabetes, infections, asthma meningitis and polio.
What bothers me most is that modern medicine is so entrenched in the belief that they can eliminate diseases, they totally ignore clear factual evidence demonstrating the ineffectiveness as well as the dangers of certain vaccines. In fact, their belief in vaccines is so strong they will even shout down and bully anyone that voices an opinion contrary to established doctrine.
