Two Steps to Achieving Your Ideal Weight

The first step in guaranteed weight loss is very easy but may be a little hard to accept as a valid step in achieving your weight loss goals. It is, however, very real and well worth your consideration.

Notice that in the title above I said “Achieving Your Ideal Weight” not “Weight Loss”.

The difference is HUGE and together with Step #2 will mean the difference between success and failure in your goals for a healthier leaner body.

What is this difference you may ask?

Well … Let me ask you, when you get up in the morning do you consciously think “Today I am going to lose some money at the track”?

Do you tell yourself “Wouldn’t it be nice to lose my car keys today?”

Of course not! So why do you insist on talking about losing weight?

Now I know you are shaking your head and thinking this guy must be nuts. You are saying that you DO want to lose weight so why shouldn’t you PLAN to lose weight.

Because subconsciously no one wants to lose things so your mind immediately goes to work sabotaging your goal.

It is impossible to convince your subconscious that, in this case, losing something is a desirable outcome.

Self talk is very powerful so it is important that you choose words that stimulate your subconscious in the right direction.

Instead of thinking of losing weight you should entertain thoughts about:

  • lowering my body fat
  • gaining lean muscle
  • fitting into a smaller pant size
  • becoming healthy
Notice that all these things are positive and generate good feelings and anticipation of better times to come. They give your subconscious something to strive for.
