Detox Your Body

If you are feeling sluggish or “out of sorts” it may be time to detox your body.

Some people say you should detox at least once a year. Others say it’s a waste of time or worse, harmful depending on the product(s) you use.

Generally, “science” does not support the need for cleansing detoxification citing the fact that there are no studies substantiating any benefits from this action.

Body cleansing is not supported by science, with no medical benefits demonstrated, and is based on questionable or disproved scientific claims. Wikipedia

However ...

This does not mean that it is not beneficial; only that no one has spent the money to prove it yet.

As soon as some big pharmaceutical company decides to market a detox product you can bet the proof will suddenly appear.

Funny how that works, huh?

Personally, I often get frustrated with “science” because whenever “they” make statements like this everybody thinks “well that’s that, it doesn’t work.”

Even when the statement clearly says something like "claims have not been proven" people often read into it that the claims have been disproven.

PEOPLE! (not you of course) Give Your Heads a Shake!

Seriously though, I believe your body has incredible abilities to maintain its own health and has several organs dedicated to this goal. Unfortunately, our current diet and lifestyle, as well as the toxic environment we live in, has a way of interfering with it. Our toxic environment and current agricultural practices even have an adverse effect on the quality of the food we eat so we are placed at a disadvantage from the “get-go”.

This is why I, and many others, strongly believe that additional supplementation is necessary to provide your body with the resources to do its job; Keeping you healthy.

So, even if you don’t believe it is necessary to fully detox your body, I recommend you take action that will support the natural cleansing detoxification activities that your body does every day.

This can be accomplished through supplementation.

What Can You Take?

There are some nutritional supplements that have a strong track record for improving your health and although they are not strictly known as “Detox” products they do have cleaning detoxification attributes and they do support your body’s detoxification process.

There are three areas of supplementation that I feel are worth looking at to ensure the elimination of accumulated harmful substances which exert a negative effect on your health.

If you take steps to address any one of these three you will, in effect, detox your body.

  • Digestive Health and Immune Function
  • Gentle, Aloe-Based Support for Healthy Digestion
  • Weight Management
The first of these three concerns are addressed through “flora support” Did you know that there is such a thing as Friendly Bacteria  and that you probably do not have enough of it in your digestive tract?

Yes, I bet you did but I would be surprised if you have made the connection between your shortage and the antibiotics your doctor routinely gives you to combat disease-causing bacteria.

Ok so you knew that to. Well perhaps you would like to check out the probiotic product I take and recommend to everyone who asks.

My next concern is support for your elimination and digestive processes. The product I take uses a blend of soothing aloe and natural antioxidants to promote  a gentle cleansing process for your colon.

The final concern I would like to discuss involves weight management.

I am not speaking of loosing weight but of helping your body deal with excess carbohydrates and fats from the nutritional mistakes we all make from time to time or perhaps on a regular basis.

Put another way; we need a supplement that will help us reduce the effects of a poor meal choice.

As you may have already noticed, these three concerns are situational and therefore may not appear on your list.

I will leave it to you to decide if they are worth pursuing given your situation.

What Else Can I Do?

There are some lifestyle changes you can make which will take some of the pressure off your body.
  • Avoid alcohol, coffee, cigarettes, refined sugars and saturated fats,
  • eliminate the usage of chemical-based household cleaners
  • use caution when using personal health care products (try natural alternatives)
  • practice stress relieving techniques
These healthy lifestyle steps may vary well reduce the need to detox your body.
